Musical Interlude: Sentinel Drummers
These are music students on the Sentinel Picket playing drums. The CUPE 3903 strike van comes up towards the end of the clip and begins honking it’s horn in time to the drumming.
Interview with Gabby Police Liason Representative
Gabby, a strike coordinator and a police liaison representative for CUPE 3903, reflects on the second day of the strike. She says “we have really strong picket lines and motivated people…we’re better organized and more determined than they thought we were!!”
Interview with Christina the Chair of CUPE 3903
Christina, the chair of CUPE 3903, explains how picket lines are being run and how members can get involved. She suggests that members bring warm clothes, umbrellas, music, instruments, and songs to sing when they come to the line. In addition to picket duty, she encourages members to come to the Strike Headquarters to find other ways to get involved (635 Patrolia Road, (416) 661-2628).
Interview with Undergrad that Supports CUPE Strike
This student was just walking by the picket lines and stopped to express her support. She suggests that it is important for undergraduate students to be critical of the information provided by Excalibar and the YorkU website regarding the strike. She also speaks to the need for more undergrads to show their support of CUPE 3903.

Interview with Joel about Picketer hit by car on Shoreham
Joel, a unit 2 member picketing at Shoreham road, describes an incident where a picketer was hit by a car. Although there were no physical injuries, Joel says that the member was visibly shaken. Despite the aggression shown by some of the drivers, Joel comments the strength of the Shoreham picket line.
